Mushroom Swiss Burger Recipe

A juicy burger topped with sautéed mushrooms and melted Swiss cheese.

Yields: 4 servings Prep Time: 15 minutes Total Time: 30 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • Swiss cheese slices
  • Sliced mushrooms
  • Onion, thinly sliced
  • Garlic, minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Worcestershire sauce
  • Olive oil

Cooking Instructions:

  1. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced mushrooms and onion and sauté until tender.
  2. Season the ground beef with salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Form into patties.
  3. Cook the patties on a grill or stovetop for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until desired doneness.
  4. During the last minute of cooking, place a cheese slice on each patty to melt.
  5. Toast the hamburger buns.
  6. Assemble the burgers by placing the cooked patty on the bottom bun and topping with sautéed mushrooms. Cover with the top bun.
